Jan 01, 2023
Let's Bring On 2023 with a bang! Let's also remove the ick feeling when you think of New Years' Resolutions. We know they don't work.
Here's a few reasons why:
People often set unrealistic goals that are too difficult to achieve.
People often set too many resolutions, making it hard to focus on each one.
People often lack the commitment to stick with resolutions.
People don't have a plan for how to achieve their resolutions.
People don't have any accountability or support from friends and family.
My Guide to Creating a Word Theme for the Year is a super simple system and it's yours for free. Let's take the cringe out of goals and have fun creating our theme, a few value-based intentions, and just a handful of focused goals all on 1 page. Super Easy!
So what's the difference between a goal and an intention?
- A goal is a specific outcome or achievement that you strive to attain, while an intention is a conscious decision or attitude to approach life.
- Goals are typically measurable, while intentions are more focused on attitude or mindset.
- Goals are often short-term in nature and have a timeline attached to them, while intentions are more long-term and ongoing.
- Goals can be more focused on materialistic outcomes, while intentions are focused on internal growth and development.
- Goals are often associated with external factors such as success and money, while intentions are focused on inner values such as compassion and integrity.
